St. Padre Pio Academy adheres to and in many instances exceeds the requirements set forth by the Ontario's Ministry of Education. Our teaching and learning philosophy is based on the whole child and the transformational learning theories of Harvard University professor Dr. Harvard Gardner. Our goal is to prepare students for academic success and the essential life skills required to excel in society today.
A typical day begins with the homeroom teacher taking attendance at 8:30 in the morning followed by morning prayers, and the singing of the National Anthem. Morning recess break is from 10:30 to 10:45 followed by class and then lunch from 12:00 to 12:45. Our afternoon recess break is from 2:15 to 2:30 and our dismissal is at 3:30p.m. Students enrolled in our optional after schoolhomework club are dismissed at 5:45.
